She/Her/Hers
Hi there! I'm Demi, a trauma and attachment specialist passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families on their healing journeys. I focus on the enduring impacts of trauma, maltreatment, and attachment-related concerns. Alongside this, I'm deeply committed to supporting my fellow neurodivergent individuals as they navigate a world that often isn't designed with us in mind. When you work with me, you'll experience my full range of playfulness, humor, warmth, intentionality, and attuned energy. I bring my authentic self to all that I do, creating a compassionate and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe, seen, heard, and empowered. My advanced training has given me a deep understanding of the impacts of adversity. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach informed by the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, blending various experiential modalities. My extensive knowledge of neurobiology, traumatology, development, relational neuroscience, attachment, and sensory integration helps me tailor treatment plans to individual strengths and needs, ensuring a respectful, safe, and effective space for healing and growth. A key part of my approach is fostering lasting connections and relationships. Collaboration with and empowerment of parents and caregivers is crucial in my work with children and adolescents. I practice with cultural humility and maintain a neurodiversity-affirming and anti-racist lens, valuing diversity and equity to create an inclusive space that honors each individual's cultural background, diverse neurobiology, and identity. I'm committed to ongoing education and self-reflection to address and challenge my own biases, offering a sensitive, respectful, and responsive therapeutic space. Healing extends beyond the individual, encompassing the larger systems that perpetuate inequality and oppression. I aim to empower individuals to navigate and challenge these systems, fostering personal growth and collective change. Beyond my therapeutic work, I'm actively involved in training, consulting, and supervising fellow therapists. I strive to ensure they are well-equipped with the latest techniques and knowledge in trauma and attachment-focused therapy. Together, we build a community of informed and compassionate professionals dedicated to making a positive impact. I look forward to meeting you and embarking on this journey together!
